Redstone

The 1.5 update also known as the “Redstone update” will be here early March. Here are the new types of blocks: Nether quartz, a type of mineral that will be found in the Nether, which has many forms including: Nether quartz ore, Nether quartz (which is obtained by smelting Nether quartz ore), Nether quartz block, quartz slab (made from three Nether quartz), quartz stairs, chiseled quartz, and lastly pillar quartz block. Nether quartz can also be useful for redstone comparator and daylight sensor. The daylight sensor has many different uses. It can turn on lights at night, be used as a decoration 0r a clock to signal times of day. You can set it up by doing /say <message> or if you are on a server and want the message to just go to you /tell <your name> <message>, and then there is a complicated use too.

Now for the new Minecart features: Minecart and TNT (this is triggered by activator rails, which I will talk about later). They destroy redstone but not rails.Minecart and hopper (the hopper sucks in items, for example if I had a dispenser dispense an item into the Minecart and hopper the hopper would suck it up),  Minecart with dispenser (again is triggered by an activator rails), and Minecart with spawner (which will either spawn while running or when it hits a acticator rail). The activator rails ironically don’t activate themselves, you have to activate them by using redstone, and the purpose for this rail; (stating the obvious) BIG SURPRISE is to activate things!!!! In 1.5 also gives the possibility of being able to link Minecarts (driven by Minecart and a furnace). However, this has not been approved yet along with Minecart and spawner , and Minecart and dispenser. The last news of this subject is…… An unconfirmed new rail, and with no information!!!!
